Event Notes
Note (1) Probate Calendar for 26 May 1882 confirms date and place of death.
Note (2) Apparent transcription error in index.  Original is handwritten.  Unable to
compare others on Benjamin Laycock's page on Ancestry.  My reading of the
original is that it should be page 436.  There are 2 transcription entries for
page 431 (where there are 3 females and 2 males) and page 4[35]6.  Looking at
FreeBMD and searching by volume and page I was able to find Elizabeth White in
Volume 9c page 436.  There are 2 females and 1 male on this page.  I am as
satisfied as I can be that this is the correct marriage.
Note (3) Probate Calendar for 26 May 1882 confirms Benjamin was a widower when he
died..
