Sources: (1) IGI Index, Personally viewed on microfiche at various locations or on-line. Data is regarded as questionable without further evidence. (2) GRO-BMD Index on-line, Personally checked by MFW, 1851 Jun qtr Wortley Volume 22 Page 681. (3) 1861 census on-line, Personally checked by MFW, RG9 Piece3453 Folio21. Event Notes Note (1) In 1841 census Daniel Laycock aged 30 living with John Laycock aged 25 and Mary Ann Laycock aged 12. No relationships are given. In 1851 census Daniel Laycock aged 41, a widower, is living as a Lodger with Joseph Parkin Hague, a "landed proprieter". Note (2) The transcription for this marriage puts Hannah Travis and Daniel Laycock married in the same quarter but on different pages. There are 6 females and 5 males on Hannah's page (transcribed as 641) and 3 females and 4 males on Daniel's page (transcribed as 681). The original handwritten entry for Daniel is clearly page 681 and I would interpret the page for Hannah as also 681. This would take 1 female from Hannah's page and add 1 female to Daniel's page which makes the arithmetic correct. Note (3) She appears in 1861 census as Hannah Laycock and living with several Trallis children declared as step children to Daniel Laycock.
